| "MUSICAL VIENNA BY CANDLELIGHT" |
Locrian Ensemble revel in this lavish evening of popular classical Viennese music.
Vienna has always been the city of music. For centuries, the Imperial Court created a stimulating environment for musicians and artists alike. No other city has had as many famous composers residing in it. Whether street bands or balls, concerts or the opera, chamber music or Gypsy Carnivals - this city never sleeps. The Locrian Ensemble, attired in sumptuous period costume and in stunning candlelit setting, perform music by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Lehar and, of course, the Strauss family. Britain’s favourite touring ensemble is joined in this celebration of Viennese music by the celebrated soprano, Marilyn Hill Smith.
